Blog on

I recieved an email of Neal Houston if I want to post an article on the difference between Microsoft's Dynamics products.

If Google search results indicate the popularity of a topic, then there is clearly a lot of confusion over Microsoft's Dynamics products. A search for "the difference between Microsoft dynamics" returns 36,800 results! So with the recent launch of their ERP software service, Software Advice decided to shed some light on the Dynamics product family. Their article, "Microsoft Dynamics for Manufacturing – Understanding the Difference Between GP, NAV, SL and AX," explains how each product has evolved over the years and naturally become popular among certain industries and businesses. Check it out.

Please leave your comment because I'm curious on what my other colleagues think of this.

This SDK documentation contains information for developers writing server side code, custom business logic, integration modules, workflow assemblies, and plug-ins. It provides an architectural overview of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, the entity model, security model, and Web services. Sample code and walkthroughs are provided to guide you through the new features. It also contains information for developers customizing the Web client or Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Microsoft Office Outlook, including scripting, integration of custom Web pages, sample code, and a detailed user interface style guide. In addition to the documentation, this download package includes the projects for all sample code found in the documentation, and full featured samples that are not included in the documentation. The package includes a visual style guide you can use to make your customizations fit in smoothly, and a style sheet you can use as a basis for your work. There are also tools and helper code provided in this package. Look for regular updates to this SDK!November 10, 2009 - Updated the assemblies in the Bin folder. Use these updated assemblies instead of the ones in the previous release of SDK 4.0.10.If you need assemblies or schema files prior to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Update Rollup 7 and the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online November 2009 Service Update, you can download the SDK 4.0.9 from this location:

WaveAccess extends CRM Dynamics with integrated chat sessions, which would be very useful in a contact center environment.

WaveAccess Online Help is a live chat integrated into Microsoft CRM. It is designed to provide CRM users with instant support. Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4 Integration Unleashed & Professional Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0

Below you find 2 new books to be published in 2009. These books can be pre ordered at

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4 Integration Unleashed Publisher July 6th, 2009

Virtually every organization that purchases Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 will need to extend and integrate it with other business applications. Until now it has been difficult to find independent guidance for doing so successfully. In Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4 Integration Unleashed, two leading experts on Dynamics CRM integration cover all the techniques and best practices IT organizations need to successfully customize Dynamics CRM. This book focuses entirely on extending, customizing, and integrating Dynamics. You will find specific and detailed guidance for linking Dynamics CRM with other Microsoft and third-party products, including SharePoint, Office, Exchange, Communicator, PerformancePoint, BizTalk, SilverLight, VoIP phone systems, and both Google and MSN maps. The book also contains three full chapters on integration utilizing Scribe's powerful adapters and templates. The authors demonstrate how to extend Dynamics CRM 4.0 with features Microsoft hasn't added, including dashboarding, advanced reporting, custom/specialized integration, broader interoperability, and stronger "deep-dive" data analysis. They also show how to safely make custom Dynamics CRM applications available directly to customers.
